Yoga

This dynamic style of Yoga (vinyasa) is linking breath to movement while one pose flows into the next. Sequences are put together in a playful way, making sure safe transition, balancing stretching and strengthening, and challenging the body and mind. I am dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable place for everyone to practice, so all have the opportunity to engage with this dynamic meditative flow. Expect to sweat, also leave the room feeling more balanced, nurtured and content in your body and mind.

My academic (MSc Biology) and therapist (Autogenic Therapist and Reflexologist) background helped my understanding of the basic principles of Yoga, and how they influence the physiological health of the body. They also gave me a thorough appreciation of how my student’s bodies worked, and how I can help them achieve a sustainable, healthy balance in their emotional and physical life.

I completed my teacher training with The Power Yoga Company. Our inspirational teachers – Caroline Pegna, Cal Wandsbrough, Mona Godfrey and Pete Cherry – guided us through not only the foundation of asanas and power vinyasa practices but anatomy and yoga philosophy, mediation and breathing techniques (pranayama). This holistic approach of the teacher training enabled me to create a safe environment for all students, also tailor sessions based on people’s abilities and needs.

I have been practicing many different styles of Yoga (Iyengar, Hatha, Bikram, Power Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Rocket)  in the past 10 years. I started teaching because I wanted to share the sense of contentment, happiness and body awareness this style of movement brought into my life. Come and join me on the mat!
